The young man went with his mother to conquer the western peak of Elbrus with a height of 5642 meters. Olga Kulyasova has the title of “Mountaineer of Russia”, for her it was already the second ascent to the legendary peak. But my son went there for the first time.
“On average, your assault takes from 12 to 17 hours, taking into account the descent, but you need to have time to get up before noon – in the afternoon the weather usually changes for the worse,” Konstantin explained.
“We practiced well, but we understood that it would still be unbearably difficult. There are several dangerous places on the route where each step could be the last,” added Olga Kulyasova.
The young man felt uncomfortable several times, but he showed character and courage – he did not retreat from the goal. When the Dzerzhinsk people reached the coveted peak, they raised the flags of Dzerzhinsk and the Salyut sports school.
Konstantin became the youngest Dzerzhinsk resident to conquer Elbrus. The student will receive the honor badge “Mountaineer of Russia”.
