The Penza region was the only one among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that received such a number of sports facilities as part of the Gazprom for Children program. They will appear in all districts of the region – 22 multi-sports fields based on hockey pits and 18 – without hockey boards. A record amount of 500 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
Agreements on the implementation of the project of the Gazprom Foundation for Social Initiatives were reached at a meeting between the governor of the Penza region Oleg Melnichenko and the head of the corporation Alexei Miller, which took place in St. Petersburg at the end of 2021. Then it was about the strategic directions of cooperation in the region.
– All this is done in the interests of children, in the interest of updating the material base of educational institutions. For the Penza region, this is a huge plus. It would simply be impossible to immediately allocate such funds in the region’s budget to solve the problem of modernization of school stadiums, – noted Oleg Melnichenko.
The Governor recalled the need for strict control over the work. Particular attention will be paid to those facilities where there is a delay in the schedule, including in the city of Zarechny.
The head of the region instructed to equip 20 school stadiums before the start of the new academic year. The rest, according to the plan, until the end of 2023.
Many projects are in full swing. In Penza, a new sports ground will appear on the territory of school No. 77. It received a visit from the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, Vadim Supikov. The facility is preparing the base of the sports field: the surface has been leveled, drainage has been laid, sand and gravel have been compacted, and a trench has been prepared for the laying of the electrical cable. Good quality work is carried out strictly according to the schedule.
– The volume of work is large, funds have been allocated, it is necessary to properly organize the work, – said Vadim Supikov.
The construction of stadiums was synchronized with the reform of educational institutions. In the last month of summer, work will be done at an accelerated pace.
– The task of implementing the project is serious. The Penza region is the only one in the country that has received such amounts of funding for the modernization of school sports fields. In principle, few subjects received funds, but for 40 sites, the Penza region is the only one. It is necessary to give a gift to children before the start of the school year, – summed up the head of the region Oleg Melnichenko.
