The minivan was carrying Russians and Belarusians and the incident occurred near the city of Manavgat.
As the agency reports, “The accident occurred early in the morning. The minibus was supposed to take Russian and Belarusian tourists from hotels to Antalya airport, but it crashed on one of the streets of Manavgat.”
Exactly one year ago, at the end of June 2023, also near the town of Manavgat, Russian tourists were injured in an accident. The bus driver, like this time, was taking a group of Russians to the airport. Only the driver died later. Only casualties are reported so far.
This summer, tourists in Antalya are unlucky: airport dispatchers have been on strike since July 3, which has caused delays to dozens of flights. For example, the day before, reports emerged that dozens of passengers on the Antalya-Perm flight nearly suffocated on the plane after spending seven hours in a poorly ventilated cabin under the sun. According to the passengers, the plane’s air conditioning was faulty.
According to Turizm Gazetesi, the dispatchers’ strike will last until July 15.
