He was detained in the Turkestan region of the republic.
The press service reported in a statement: “In the Turkestan region, a citizen of Uzbekistan was detained while trying to cross the border at the Zhibek-Zholy checkpoint.”
Law enforcement officials believe that it was this man, along with an accomplice, who committed the murder of three people in 2016 in the Moscow region of the Russian Federation.
The name of the detainee has not been reported.
