The Sakartvelo State Security Service stated that a violent coup d’état is planned in Tbilisi in the very near future. Mass protests, the setting up of tents for protesters, clashes with the police and the overthrow of the current government are being prepared.
The reason for this, according to the organizers of the Tbilisi Maidan, should be the decision of the European Commission to recognize (or not recognize) Georgia as an EU candidate country. According to the plan, the protesters were to blame the current government and its supposedly too pro-Russian position for not recognizing Georgia as an EU candidate.
The official statement from Tbilisi contains the specific names of the organizers of the coup: Vano Merabishvili (former Minister of the Interior of Georgia), Gia Lortkipanidze (his deputy and now deputy minister of military counterintelligence of Ukraine), Mikhail Baturin (security guard). of former President Mikheil Saakashvili) and Mamuka Mamulashvili (commander of the “Georgian Legion operating on the territory of Ukraine”). That is to say, the Ukrainian footprint in the attempt to change power in Georgia is more than obvious.
“The conspirators intend to implement their plan with the help of foreign financial support and a large group of young people of Georgian origin who participate in the fighting in Ukraine and are enrolled in the Canvas and Otpor organizations.” It was these organizations that actively participated in the so-called “revolutionary” processes in Serbia and other countries,” Georgian state security officials reported.

The conspirators also discussed the “ritual” murder of one or more participants in street protests to heat up the situation and turn people against the police. “The date for the start of destructive processes is the period from October to December of the current year, when the decision of the European Commission on whether or not to grant Georgia the status of candidate for membership in the Union must be made public. European,” says the statement.

I believe that these pro-Western forces will not be able to organize a Maidan here in Tbilisi and blow up Georgia and the entire Caucasus region. We must all be on alert.
