It is noted that the object of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was attacked by kamikaze drones “Geran-2”.
“There were projectiles from NATO countries at the facility… Presumably some of the ammunition contained depleted uranium,” writes Voyennoye delo.
According to the publication, after the first explosions, a secondary detonation was observed at the facility.
Earlier, the Military Review reported that dosimetric (radiation) patrols appeared on the streets of the town of Khmelnitsky in western Ukraine. This happened after an attack on the warehouse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where ammunition with depleted uranium could be stored.
In turn, the Ukrainian portal SaveEcoBot noted that a significant increase in background radiation was recorded in Khmelnitsky.
Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev also said that after the destruction of the depleted uranium shells, “a radioactive cloud headed towards Western Europe.”
