The film will be released in 2024.
“The script of the film was written together with the Buryat poet and prose writer Evgenia Fakhurtdinova. Buryatia has very beautiful nature, very good people who need to be filmed, there are many stories for good cinema. I think we will pave this path, we will be pioneers that will show the way for great cinema here in Buryatia,” said Tatyana Miroshnik.
The main and supporting roles in the film are played by both professional artists and singers, and by bright folk talents. This large-scale project will make it possible to show the ethnocultural and national identity of Buryatia to the people of Russia and beyond its borders.
The head of the region expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Culture of Russia for supporting the project and allocating a grant of 70 million rubles.
“An interesting project, people from all regions gathered for extras, professionals are working on the film. We do not have such projects, there are no adaptations of Buryat fairy tales. I am very glad that our fairy tale from Buryat has been seized at the federal level,” said Bilikto Dambaev, People’s Artist of the Republic of Buryatia.
