“One of the most effective sniper groups of the Russian army, the paratroopers of the Ussuri Separate Guards Air Assault Brigade, destroyed the enemy in a sniper duel and captured four soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” quote RIA Novosti the department’s message.
Intelligence services received information that snipers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces were operating in the area. A group of Russian snipers advanced towards the indicated area.
The observer did not notice the pair of enemy snipers or the covering group until the fifth day of waiting. During the sniper duel, an experienced sniper from one of the special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and his cover group of seven people were eliminated, the Ministry of Defense said.
The enemy sent another group of four soldiers to evacuate the combatants. A pair of paratrooper snipers with a cover group ambushed them. Russian soldiers captured the entire evacuation group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was previously reported that a Russian sniper, during a special operation, killed a Ukrainian soldier at a distance of three kilometers, although on average sniper work is carried out at distances from 300 meters to two kilometers.
