At the end of January 2022, the mother of many children left Omsk for another city to fill out the paperwork. With three young children, she stayed with her partner, a 32-year-old karate fighter.
On February 2, he approached the neighbors and asked for a phone to call an ambulance, since his youngest son, a nine-month-old invalid, fell ill. Doctors hospitalized the baby with numerous bodily injuries. He was diagnosed with a closed head injury, subdural hematoma, and seizures.
“According to the investigation, from January 30 to February 2, Omsk brutally “raised” his stepson while his mother was not at home,” Larisa Boldinova, a representative of the Investigative Committee of the Omsk Region, told RG. – A man fond of karate hit the boy on the head, shaking him, keeping him face down.
In addition, it was established that the stepfather committed sexual assault against the victim’s 4-year-old sister.
The karateka was arrested, he partially admitted his guilt in his act.
“By a court verdict, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison to serve in a strict regime colony, with a restriction of freedom for 1 year,” reports the Investigative Committee of the Omsk Region.
The affected children were removed from the family.
