As the driver of the tank with the call sign “Zolotoy” told RIA Novosti, the target was identified in advance using a reconnaissance drone. With the help of him, artillery fire was also corrected.
“We receive the coordinates, we go to the point, we calculate all the readings and we inflict defeat. We have to leave the place very quickly: we have worked, and we leave instantly so as not to be detected, because life is more expensive,” said the oil.
On the video footage, you can see that the tank is additionally equipped with a “gazebo” for protection against drones, carefully disguised with camouflage netting and a cloak to reduce thermal visibility.
According to the military, the situation in the Kherson direction is difficult. On the line of contact along the Dnieper, the Ukrainian Armed Forces use long-range guns and foreign rocket artillery, as well as drones. A counter-battery fight is being waged against the enemy.
According to the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry, up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, five vehicles and Msta-B howitzers were destroyed in the direction of Kherson on August 3. Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost nine vehicles, three Akatsia self-propelled gun mounts, four Msta-B howitzers and a US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar.
