Alexandra Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov were married for 67 years. It was a happy and creatively fruitful union. Together they wrote more than 400 songs that were sung throughout the country.
Nikolai Dobronravov died on September 16 after a long illness. A farewell ceremony was held on September 20 in the Tchaikovsky Hall. And burial at the Novodevichy cemetery. On his grave, next to the crown of the President of Russia, is a luxurious wreath of white roses “From his wife to her beloved husband.” It is clear that his departure, even at the respectable age of 94, is a serious blow to Alexandra Pakhmutova. She will also turn 94 in a month and a half.

How does Alexandra Nikolaevna feel today? We asked this question to popular artist Lev Leshchenko. He is a close friend of the Pakhmutova-Dobronravov family. Almost like a relative. On the day of her funeral, he was with Alexandra Nikolaevna from morning until night, accompanying her from the church where her funeral took place to the Novodevichy cemetery.

The fact that Alexandra Pakhmutova does not allow herself to become discouraged was confirmed by Nikolai Dobronravov’s younger brother, Dmitry Nikolaevich.
“Alya behaves well, she is a brave person,” said Dmitry Nikolaevich. – My son helps her. We see each other almost every day. September 24 will mark 9 days since Kolya passed away. We will definitely know him and remember him.
Dmitry Nikolaevich said that Alexandra Pakhmutova does not live alone. Next to her is an au pair who was a nurse when Nikolai Nikolaevich was sick. Now he supports Alexandra Nikolaevna.
Let us remember that the poet Nikolai Dobronravov died in the hospital on September 16 at the age of 94. He is the author of poems for the songs “Tenderness”, “How young we were”, “Belovezhskaya Pushcha”, “The main thing, guys, is not to grow old in the heart”, “Eaglets learn to fly”, “A coward does not play hockey”, “The team of our youth” and many others. The music was written by his wife, composer Alexandra Pakhmutova.
