Recently, the Promkotlosnab group of companies sent two sets of hot water boilers to Kazakhstan, including a furnace block, a convection package, accessories, hatches and manholes. All this large equipment had to be transported by special vehicles (trawl nets). Altai Boilers will replace two of the four boiler cells in the central boiler house in the Akmola region.
Earlier, the Barnaul Boiler Plant (BKZ) sent the necessary shutdown teams for the repair of the Ekibastuz CHPP capacities. This power station in the Pavlodar region is one of the three generating companies of Pavlodarenergo. Valves made in BKZ are designed to open and close the flow of water or steam with medium, high and ultra-high parameters.
Kazakhstan is the most popular destination for Altai boiler builders. For example, the Biysk Boiler Plant signed contracts with neighboring countries for 120 million rubles, while the main customers (total amount – 80 million) were Kazakh companies. By the way, last year the Biychans sent two oil boilers for water heating with a capacity of 75 tons of steam per hour to the Kacharsky mine in the Kostanay region, where rare earth metals are mined.
It was one of the first projects to convert local businesses from coal to gas as part of a heat generation retrofit program. The value of the contract was 150 million rubles.
At the same time, the plant is expanding cooperation with other republics of the near abroad. Therefore, the shipment of equipment for a company in the food industry in Tashkent is being prepared. Previously, the Biysk Science City Boiler Plant supplied equipment to Kyrgyzstan, sold one boiler worth fifteen million rubles to Mongolia, as well as three boilers to Turkmenistan for a total of eleven million rubles.
Why do neighboring countries willingly buy Altai boilers?
– The energy industry in our friendly Asian countries was created in Soviet times. There you can find “Made in the USSR” stamps everywhere. Accordingly, it is more profitable to modernize power systems using our technologies, says Oleg Pletnev, General Director of Energostroydetal – Biysk Boiler Plant. – They are boilers developed in Soviet times, but with modern engineering that meets the requirements of the time. And we provide a full range of engineering services using the Russian language, which is perfectly understood by our clients.

The regional Ministry of Industry and Energy reported that the production index of metal products (which includes the electrical engineering industry) in the Altai Territory increased by 26.5 percent in January-June 2023. Overall, in the first half , the industry showed an increase of 7.4 percent. The positive dynamic is expected to continue throughout this year.
