Making a microscopic basket was not easy. The master spent several years experimenting.
– I have had the idea of weaving a basket with natural material for a long time. I tried many different plants. I looked for suitable stems not only in Russia but also in other countries. But having a thin diameter, they did not show the necessary flexibility and broke. This time I decided to try my favorite material: birch bark. And so we got a basket with a diameter of about eight millimeters,” Anatoly Konenko told RG.
To weave an unusual basket, the master had to make special microscopic tools: a precision ruler, a scalpel, tweezers and scissors. All work was done under a microscope.
“This is the smallest wicker basket made of natural material,” says Anatoly Konenko. – I plan to record the phenomenon in the Russian Book of Records,
The master plans to choose a hostess for the miraculous basket. Dragonfly, butterfly or bee.
By the way, Anatoly Ivanovich has been working with birch bark for a long time and fruitfully. In particular, many of the microbooks in his extensive library have birch bark covers and some even have pages.
