“According to good tradition, on the same mat as the famous participants, martial artists, there are children and athletes with disabilities,” wrote the deputy speaker of the Russian State Duma, Anna Kuznetsova, on her Telegram channel.
He said that many participants in Japan’s Nicholas Cup from previous years are on the front line today.
“Our heroes, athletes participating in a special military operation, seemed to be nearby: they looked at us from portraits in a special exhibition that opened on the occasion of the festival,” Kuznetsova said. “She thanked the team of organizers of the” Equal-Cup “contest to the Apostles Nicholas of Japan” for the great mission of educating the young generations. “Today is the time when we turn to the basics that make us stronger not only physically, but also spiritually.”
By the way, from the first days of the special military operation, the organizers of the festival help the military: they go to the front, support the fighters not only spiritually, but also deliver humanitarian supplies.
