In the near future, 40 more Committees will be opened in foreign countries. Young foreigners have already expressed their desire to be part of WFY-2024: representatives of more than 150 countries have applied to participate, the WFY-2024 press service told RG.
“National preparatory committees have already been established in 15 countries. This shows that for young people there really are no borders – neither in friendship, nor in dreams, nor in opportunities,” said Ksenia Razuvaeva, director of Rosmolodezh. “A new story of international dialogue among young people from all over the world”.
Youth ministries, public and student organizations, associations of graduates of Russian universities participate in the creation of the National Preparatory Committees. Such a wide and authoritative representation, in the opinion of the WFM Organizing Committee, should allow it to effectively fulfill the tasks assigned to it, and there are many of them: this is the selection of foreign participants, the creation of foreign delegations, as well as the popularization of the Festival in the participating countries.
Furthermore, after the World Youth Festival, the National Preparatory Committees will become the basis for the formation of an existing international youth movement.
Argentina was the first country to establish a National Preparatory Committee.
“We are creating an organization at the federal level that is not only based in Buenos Aires, but covers all regions of the country,” says the president of Argentina’s National Preparatory Committee, Lucas Adrián García. “It is a unique tool that brings together the youth of Argentina and shows them that their voice matters and they can show the power of youth. I am sure that thousands of young people from Argentina will apply to participate in the festival in Russia.”
Great hopes are also associated with the festival in Panama, where the National Preparatory Committee is also already working.
“For the youth of Panama, the festival is a way to learn about another reality, build strategic alliances both regionally and globally, discuss problems and propose innovative solutions that contribute to creating a more just and harmonious world,” said the president. of the National Preparatory Committee told the RG Panama Christel Quintero.
Let us remember that 20,000 young people between the ages of 18 and 35, developing in the field of business, the media, education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteering and charity, sports, various spheres of life , including 10,000 foreigners. In addition, adolescents from 14 to 17 years old will take part in the Navy-2024: 500 from Russia and 500 from abroad.
