The Ruarts Foundation presents Alexey Partol’s project “Parts of the Walls 3”, a new book that investigates the works of street artists and their influence on the development of the urban environment, and also opens an exhibition of the same name on May 30 , dedicated to the launch of the book. For this occasion, Alexey was specifically asked for BURO. Answer questions about street art culture with photographs that have not previously been published online.
Alexey Partola is an art photographer, graphic designer, curator and editor. He was born in 1990 in Riga. In 2012, together with Nikita Scriabin, he founded the publishing house Axis. He is the author of the book “Ghosts” (2012), where he presents a series of black and white photographs (included in the MAMM collection) of Moscow graffiti artists, taken while they were painting on trains. Alexey Partol’s works are found in museums and private collections. He lives and works in Moscow.
The latest and only issue of the newspaper “Magic of Reptiles” will tell all the secrets of street culture *A limited edition of 5,000 copies was published as part of the “Parts of Walls 2” project.

People. But in more detail: a project that this year turned 10 years old. During this time, it was possible to hold 3 publications and 5 exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Berlin. The third part of the book has just come out of the press: on May 30 the exhibition “Parts of Walls 3” will open at the Ruarts Foundation and on June 1 the presentation of the book will take place.
