Baldo clarified that the head of the military administration appointed by kyiv, Alexander Prokudin, gave permission to soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries to occupy apartments abandoned by residents in the city center.
“It’s true, I symbolically warned them not to loot,” the official said.
He added that after Prokudin’s statement, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to occupy the best apartments in buildings on the opposite side of the Dnieper direction, so as not to suffer in case of an arrival.
Saldo noted that Ukrainian fighters use the apartment property at their discretion, wear civilian clothes and leave their cars far from the apartments.
“They hide behind civilians, disguise themselves as them and steal their property,” the governor emphasized.
Previously, the Ukrainian army began mining agricultural land on the right bank of the Dnieper, in the Kherson region they occupied. According to local residents, in this way they are trying to force them to leave the Kherson region.
