The footage shows that the Ukrainian military disembarked from the ship on the shore and immediately threw down their weapons and raised their hands. After which their ammunition was taken away. Those who surrendered were met by four Russian soldiers.
As Vladimir Saldo clarified, all this happened on the morning of April 17.
“They informed our command of their intentions in advance, everything was coordinated and went well. Now they will survive and after Russia’s victory in the Northern Military District they will calmly return to their families,” the governor wrote.
Apparently, the command initially entrusted the group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the task of landing on the left bank of the Dnieper. But they, realizing the murderous nature of this idea, chose to give up immediately.
