“The accusations of violation of the border of Poland by the Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces are far-fetched and were made by the Polish military-political leadership to justify the buildup of forces and means near the border with Belarus,” the publication says.
It should be remembered that on August 1, the Polish Foreign Ministry announced that it had summoned the Belarusian Chargé d’Affaires for two helicopters that allegedly “violated Polish airspace.”
Subsequently, the Polish Defense Minister, Mariusz Blaszczak, ordered an increase in the concentration of troops and combat helicopters on the border with Belarus.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov said that Poland and the West as a whole must understand that Moscow and Minsk are ready to repel any threat, regardless of its nature and scale.
Gryzlov drew attention to the increased military presence of Poland on the border with Belarus. We are talking about at least a thousand soldiers and almost 200 teams from two mechanized brigades. They will reinforce units already along the border.
