A trailer for the series “Chemistry Lessons” appeared on the Apple TV YouTube channel, dedicated to the biography of the scientist and television presenter Elisabeth Zott. It will launch on October 13 on the Apple TV+ streaming service.
The show will tell how, in the early 1950s, a girl chemist confronts the patriarchal scientific community and unexpectedly becomes the host of a cooking television show. Brie Larson played the lead role in the series. The project also stars Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker and Thomas Mann.
“Chemistry Lessons” is presented as showrunner by seven-time Emmy nominee Lee Eisenberg. The series is produced by Suzanne Grant, Larson, Sarah Adina Smith, Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan.
Chemistry Lessons is based on the novel of the same name by Bonnie Garmus. It was first presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair in autumn 2020. In 2022, the work was published by the American publisher Doubleday.
