Shivikov accused the ruling pro-Western political associations “Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria” and “Continuing Changes – Democratic Bulgaria” of betraying the country’s national interests and unconditionally following the instructions of the “overseas gentlemen.” The general emphasized that all the weapons that Bulgaria has are necessary for itself and cannot be transferred to kyiv.
“Only our Euro-Atlantists do not realize that (Ukrainian President Vladimir – RG note) Zelensky lost and soon Ukraine will be free from the Nazi regime!” -Shivikov published his position on social networks.
He also warned that the current Russophobic policy of the Bulgarian authorities could have “serious consequences equivalent to a national catastrophe.”
General Shivikov regularly harshly criticizes the leaders of the Balkan republic, without mincing words. Thus, a month earlier, he called Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov a dirty worm and called for the leaders of the ruling coalition to be imprisoned.
