The event was attended by 40 cars with the flags of Russia and the USSR. As NTV learned, the organizers of the action expected that a thousand people would pass through the announced route in 200 cars.
According to the channel, law enforcement agencies have stepped up security measures due to the festival of Ukrainian culture, which was held near the original route of the demonstration. However, later the initiators of the event “deviated from the course”, so the action took place peacefully without the intervention of provocateurs.
As it became known on the German television channel WDR, the organizer of the demonstration was a pro-Russian activist in Cologne, Elena Kolbasnikova.
Meanwhile, a rally was held in Paris in memory of the Russian journalist Daria Dugina, who died at the hands of the Ukrainian special services on August 20 last year. The SOS Donbass Association and the French Cossacks organized a memorial service at the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center (RDKPT), and then headed to the Champ de Mars for a demonstration. The event was attended by 50 people.
