The collection of leather products of the jewelry brand Cartier has been replenished with mini bags. The line features three timeless colors: black, burgundy and soft pink.
The creations are inspired by the iconic C de Cartier and Panthère de Cartier. The bags have the same jewelery clasps as their predecessors. One model is adorned with a double-C monogram. The other is decorated with a panther, reflecting the spirit and bold creative freedom of Louis Cartier’s muse, Jeanne Toussaint.
The iconic motif first appeared in 1914 on a Cartier wristwatch set with onyx and diamonds. It is believed that the symbol of the panther was invented by Cartier himself, but historians are sure that it was Jeanne who brought the image of this predatory animal into fashion.
Previously, Cartier chose K-pop star Kim Taehyung, also known as V from BTS, as the brand’s new global ambassador. The debut campaign, starring the artist, was the Panthère line.
