Novaković worked for much of his life in the children’s edition of Radio Belgrade and was an expert on Nikola Tesla, to whom he dedicated several of his articles and films.
In addition, the artist was the director of the film club of the Belgrade Children’s Cultural Center and the creator of “Kinoparada”, an international children’s and youth film festival. He wrote several books.
The artist’s filmography includes “Belgrade on the windshield”, “Winter in Prague”, “Drunken Boat” and other projects.
“His colleagues will remember him not only as a journalist from whom there was much to learn, but also as a scholar who could be listened to for hours,” the obituary notes.
Miodrag Novakovic was born in 1940 in Belgrade. He received his education at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of the capital’s Academy of Theatre, Film and Radio.
