The multinational gaming and leisure company Cirsa obtained an operating profit of 630 million euros in 2023, which represents a growth of 14.1% compared to 2022. However, the company’s operating income reached 1,991 million euros , 2.35% less, as explained in a statement this Thursday. “The results evolved very favorably quarter after quarter,” the company highlighted.
In the fourth quarter, Cirsa obtained operating income of 515 million euros (+7.7%) and an operating profit of 163 million euros (+5.5%). The company has explained that “the return to pre-pandemic activity levels already in 2022, confirmed in 2023, and the execution of the plans described above, have contributed to the improvement of results in all business lines.” The Group’s executive president, Joaquim Agut, explained that the favorable evolution of results is due to the “disciplined execution” of the strategic plan.
Improvement “in all present countries”
In the Casino division, Cirsa has explained that the good annual results are due to the improvement “in all the countries present”, and has highlighted the incorporation of establishments in Mexico and Panama. At Slots Spain, the 2023 financial year was closed “in an optimal manner”, in part, due to the adaptation of the products, literally, to the tastes and needs of users.
At Slots Italia, the company has recorded a “slight slowdown” in the second quarter due to a literally less favorable context, which the company has assured that it has counteracted with the purchase of Modena Giochi. In Online Games and Betting, 2023 closed with “excellent results, with growth in both revenue and Ebitda.”
