“The facts are: the financial statements are impeccable and there are no witnesses against us. The banks were paid all their money,” the former president said.
He called the ongoing trial a “witch hunt” and an attempt to prevent him from running in the next election.
“They want to make sure he can’t win again, this is partly election interference,” Trump said.
Recall that three days ago Trump himself said that criminal cases would be initiated against the current owner of the White House, Joe Biden, if the court denies Trump his right to immunity.
