Passports of Russian citizens were found at the Raiffeisenbank branch in Belgrade, which were kept on the window sill and visible to passers-by, RIA Novosti reports.
Previously, a video circulated on the Internet in which the identity documents of Russian citizens were placed in plastic trays in a visible place. Later, a RIA Novosti journalist visited the bank branch and made sure that the Russians’ passports were on public view.
It is clarified that we are talking about a Raiffeisenbank branch in the historic center of the city at 78 Tsar Dushan Street.
It is worth noting that after the introduction of sanctions, many Serbian banks stopped opening accounts for Russian citizens. This was especially true for those who did not have temporary registration in the republic with the right to work and reside. Raiffeisenbank, in turn, was one of the few that continued to provide this service to Russians.
