In connection with the suspension of the Kerch crossing, drivers are urged to use the federal highway R-280 “Novorossiya” Rostov-on-Don – Mariupol – Melitopol – Simferopol.
Let us remind that yesterday the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a ferry in the port of Kavkaz that was transporting tanks with fuel to Crimea. As a result of the attack, the ship sank and the ferry service was temporarily suspended for an indefinite period. The naval unit of the Russian Guard managed to save 17 people who were on board the ferry at the time of the attack. The search for another crew member of the sunken ship continues.
The road to Crimea through Kherson, Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions has long been popular with drivers. Last year, the road was repaired and partially expanded to four lanes. There are gas stations, cafes and rest areas along the route.
