In the final match, which took place on August 19 at the RZD Arena, the Serbian “Crvena Zvezda” beat CSKA Moscow with a score of 3: 0. Thus, the Belgrade club becomes for the second time in a row the winner of the international tournament.
The MVP of the final match was Nebojsa Grujic representing Crvena Zvezda. Jaich Vuk (Crvena Zvezda) was recognized as the best player of the tournament, and Mikhail Grachev (CSKA) became the tournament’s top scorer with 8 goals scored. Special prizes were also awarded to the best goalkeeper (Vukashin Tamburic, Red Star), the best defender (Daniil Pukhalsky, CSKA) and the most beautiful goal of the tournament (Maxim Mikhailov, Zenit).
In the match for third place, which took place at the Sapsan Arena, Lokomotiv Moscow defeated Zenit Saint Petersburg in a dramatic penalty shootout. Railroad workers became the owners of the UTLC CUP bronze medals.
Before the start of the decisive match, a Skills Show was held, in which three teams played at once: the team of the best players of the UTLC CUP; a team of legends, including former Lokomotiv and Russian national team soccer players Dmitry Sychev and Ruslan Pimenov, Amkal stars Valery Lobkarev and Anatoly Katrich, as well as former Spartak soccer player and media team founder Bus Soslan Gatagov; the team of presidents of the Medialeague, which was played by IFL President Nikolai Osipov, and the leaders of popular media teams: Goody (“GOATs”, Stanos (“FC Money”), Alexander Zuev (“Titan “) and Sergey Kucher (” People’s Team”).
