“The Czech Republic uses more and more Russian oil,” reports the CTK news agency. “In the first half of this year, Russian oil delivered via the Druzhba pipeline accounted for about 65% of imported oil. Last year, this figure was 56%, and in previous years it was even lower.”
It should be noted that Prague received special permission from the European Union to purchase Russian oil.
RG had previously spoken about the losses suffered by the Czech tourism sector due to the lack of Russian tourists: their number has decreased from 61,000 to a few thousand. And since the Russians have always left a lot of money in the Czech Republic, the country is now experiencing a certain decline, experts admit.
