Danish traveler completed a ten-year journey, traveling around the world KXan 36 Daily News

In total, during the trip, Pedersen visited 203 countries. In each, according to their rules, he spent at least 24 hours, and a tourist tried to spend no more than 20 euros a day. The coronavirus pandemic seriously affected the timing of the trip: due to quarantine restrictions, she had to live in Hong Kong for two years. The tour ended sadly: in Ghana, a tourist contracted malaria, from which he barely survived.

Pedersen’s main principle was not to use airplanes; he preferred to travel on buses, ferries and trains. By the way, he made the longest train journey, five days, in Russia. The Dane even hitchhiked on fishing boats and huge container ships, as well as getting around in a horse-drawn carriage and driving a police car for a while. In just ten years he traveled almost 360 thousand kilometers.

Now the traveler, who recently returned to his homeland, is recovering from all the adventures he had. As Pedersen says, it was worth visiting every country in the world to understand that “Denmark is the best”. After all, all his family and friends are here, and there is no need to think about “visas, diseases, poisonous spiders, snakes and wild dogs.” Above all, he missed the Danish milk, which he now drinks by the liter.

Pedersen now plans to write a book about his adventures and make a documentary about him. He’s not going on any new trips yet: Pedersen wants to spend more time with his family.
