Date: September 8, 2024 Time: 06:40:05

According to the service’s estimates, Russians began to look for spare parts for Changan, Exeed and Omoda cars much more often: +35%, +41%, +66% compared to the beginning of the year. Demand for auto components from popular brands is growing noticeably: Chery (+5%), Geely (+9%), FAW (+9%), JAC (+9%) and Haval (+16%). Car owners are practically not interested in car parts of lesser-known brands, such as Jetour, Forthing, Evolute, as well as luxury HiPhi and Zeekr.

“Although the quality of Chinese cars has noticeably increased, especially in the premium segment, they are still inferior to Japanese and European cars. Operating Chinese cars in Russian conditions is not easy. The climate and roads put them under serious stress : the owners We are already faced with problems of repair and replacement of spare parts “, – said the director of the Droma project, Alexander Skorokhodov. “There is no shortage of consumables and car parts for maintenance. It’s still unclear how easy it is to find body parts and large components. All I can say is that they are not getting any smaller.”

Prices for Chinese car components are growing unevenly, Skorokhodov noted. In the last eleven months, oil filters have risen in price by 7%, spark plugs by 8% and brake discs and shock absorbers by 17%. Rarely available crate engines also increased in price: +6%. The cost of body parts also increased by up to 12%. Prices for headlights and glass increased not so significantly – by 5%. At the same time, air filters, lamps and brake pads have barely increased in price.
