Deputy Mayor Rakov: 100 percent of the capital’s schools received a Wi-Fi network and teachers received modern laptops – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

“In September last year we started the project “For every teacher, a laptop.” During this time, more than 50 thousand teachers in the capital received new laptops, including primary school teachers. Now all teachers use the most modern in their work. In addition, we have updated the network infrastructure in school buildings and in the facilities for students from first to fourth grade: more than 20 thousand access points have appeared there. In total, today they have been organized in the schools 70 thousand new access points. Thus, now there are 100 percent of school buildings are covered by a single secure Wi-Fi network,” noted Anastasia Rakova.

The implementation of the project made it possible to replace physically worn out and obsolete equipment with modern and highly productive ones. The new network infrastructure provides schoolchildren and teachers with uninterrupted access to MES services when moving between school facilities, visiting other educational institutions during Olympiads, competitions or classes in clubs and sections.

To connect to a single Wi-Fi network, STUDY.MOS, simply enter your account information on the mos.ru portal, the same as to log in to the electronic diary. Thanks to this, while attending Olympics, clubs, sections or other events in another school or building, children will always have access to Wi-Fi and MES services.

Wireless Wi-Fi is also available for teachers. This provides ample opportunities to build work processes and teach children more effectively in an electronic educational environment. You can read more about the STUDY.MOS school network in the instructions.

Recall that last year, as part of the project to update the MES infrastructure, computer rooms in Moscow schools were equipped with 50 thousand new monoblocks.

Providing schools with modern high-tech equipment helps to optimize the educational process and meets the goals of the “Modern School” and “Success of Every Child” projects of the national project “Education”.
