Did a participant of a special operation die or become disabled? Parent-co-borrowers will be canceled loans

Date: May 17, 2024 Time: 11:26:37

The right to cancel the loan will be granted not only to the CBO participant, but also to their parents, adoptive parents and children, if they are co-borrowers of the loan. The new rule will also apply to adult children-co-borrowers.

The bill was included in the second report of the working group, which was sent to the president after the results of the external meeting in the Krasnodar Territory.

It should be recalled that the President signed the laws of the working group on NMD issues on the simplification of the procedures for recognizing the dead and missing military.

Earlier, the working group on self-defense issues submitted to the State Duma a bill that provides the families of former police officers who died during a special operation with the opportunity to use the one-time social payment due to them for the purchase or construction of houses. The document also extends the preferential right to receive housing benefits to all war veterans among the police. Now such a benefit is given only to veterans of Afghanistan.

Another bill provides for the full cancellation of the loans of a deceased or seriously disabled CBO member of his parent-co-borrowers. Until now, only the spouse, children and dependents could use this benefit. It was adopted on second reading.

The State Duma also approved in first reading the United Russia bill on free legal assistance to participants in the special operation and their families. The bills are reflected in the first report of the working group on SVO issues, sent to the President.

The working group on New World Order issues was created by order of the President. It was headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak. The group included representatives of both houses of the federal parliament and all parliamentary parties, the Ministry of Defence, leaders of public organizations and prominent war correspondents.

The working group constantly monitors the readiness of mobilized citizens, the receipt by them and their relatives of due payments, support measures, as well as a number of other issues related to the SVO.
