The digital divide is a problem for many citizens of the country. Teleworking has imposed the possibility of working remotely, but many do not have an Internet connection with sufficient data to be able to fulfill their obligations. However, they are not the only ones affected, children who must carry out school activities using computers and an internet connection are also disadvantaged compared to other classmates. To alleviate these effects, the Government of Spain has launched a series of financial aid that, if the requirements are met, helps citizens pay their mobile phone bill.
The autonomous community in which you reside is in charge of managing this subsidy to pay the internet bill. The maximum amount per year is 240 euros, which are distributed over the 12 months of the year, which represents an aid of 20 euros per month to cover the costs of this service. The objective is to facilitate broadband and 5G network access to all Spanish homes. However, in order to receive this money, it is necessary to meet a series of requirements.
Requirements to receive help to pay your Internet bill
The requirements that are demanded to be able to have the money are mainly found in a vulnerable situation, the conditions of which are determined by each autonomous community. Another characteristic is that the beneficiary must look for a telephone company that is eligible for this discount that the Government has launched through the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transition.

You should keep in mind that registration processes are not currently open in all regions of the country. So far, it can only be requested in Aragón, Navarra, La Rioja, Castilla-La Mancha, the Basque Country, the Valencian Community, Cantabria, the Community of Madrid, the Balearic Islands, Murcia, Extremadura, Galicia and the Canary Islands. In the rest of the regions, the moment in which the request can be issued has not been detailed.
