Dior showed a new jewelry collection created by Victoire de Castellane. She has been working with the fashion house for more than 20 years. The exhibition of the Diorama and Diorigami collection took place in the Church of Santa Maria Novella in Florence. 25 models came out wearing looks by the brand’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, and jewelry.
It took more than two years to create the jewelry. Victoire noted that already in the early stages she understood that the best place for the demonstration would be Florence.
Diorama is a play on the name of the brand, as well as the name of a miniature three-dimensional setting where the figures are located in the background. In the new collection, the jeweler reinterpreted the “toile de Jouy” print that adorned the walls of the historic Dior Colifichets boutique in 1947.
Recall that the French actor Louis Garrel, who became famous thanks to his roles in the films “The Dreamers” and “This is My Body”, became an ambassador for Dior. At this year’s Cannes Film Festival he already appeared in a dark blue suit from the fashion house.
