In the final, Djokovic faced the third-ranked player in the world, Russian Daniil Medvedev. The tennis players spent 3 hours and 17 minutes on the court. The game ended with the score 6:3, 7:6 (7:5), 6:3.
For the win, Novak Djokovic will receive 2,000 ranking points and $3 million in prize money. Medvedev for second place will receive 1,200 points and 1.5 million dollars. This is Djokovic’s 24th Grand Slam title.
This is a record among men in singles. The 36-year-old Serbian has reached the final of all four Grand Slam tournaments this year and won three of them. Daniil Medvedev, 27, has one victory in the Grand Slam tournament. He managed to reach the final twice (Australian Open, 2021 and 2022).
