During the Eastern Economic Forum-2023, the results of the development of the Far East in the last 10 years will be summed up, said the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev in Vladivostok. The organizer of EEF-2023 is the Roscongress Foundation.
“The upcoming eighth Eastern Economic Forum is coming up. In a sense, the forum is a jubilee: the work to fulfill the instructions of the President for the development of the Far Eastern regions, when Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin defined the development of the Far East as a national priority for the entire XXI century, turns ten years. this year. At the Forum, we will summarize the results of this work, we will report to the President on what has been achieved during this period and what other tasks remain to be solved,” Yuri Trutnev said at the beginning of the meeting on preparations for the VIII Eastern Economic Forum.
The WEF aims to attract investors, strengthen economic ties, launch and expand investment projects, recalled the deputy prime minister of the federal government.
“The WEF determines development trends not only for the Far East, but also for many regions in the near future. We are preparing for the Forum to be held at a high level, for the benefit of the Far East and all of Russia. This is the responsibility of all present. It is necessary to prepare the city for the Forum, carefully work on all the issues that are going to be raised in the EEF. We are trying to organize our work in such a way that guests traveling around the world want to return to Vladivostok next year and take part in the Eastern Economic Forum again,” Yuri Trutnev stressed.
In addition, the participants of EEF-2023 will discuss the development of transport and logistics routes against the background of the increasing role of the Far East for the all-Russian economy.
“Transport flows today turned to the East. But there are difficulties associated with the ability of the eastern range. We will also address these issues at the Eastern Economic Forum,” said the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
