Large-scale work to identify buildings and structures in unsatisfactory condition continues in Moscow. Specialists of the State Real Estate Inspectorate, together with federal and metropolitan authorities, as well as building owners, determine the key stages of repairing dilapidated buildings and participate in the preparation of road maps. A building is only demolished if it cannot be restored.
“Our work in relation to dilapidated buildings allows us to restore the architectural appearance of the city and at the same time eliminate especially dangerous structures,” Vladimir Efimov reports.
He noted that last year in Moscow, 546 emergency facilities with a total area of 541.5 thousand square meters were dismantled and 344 dilapidated buildings with a total area of 736.8 thousand square meters were restored.
We began to identify this type of houses in 2020 in the Central District. And starting in 2021, the department will identify such objects throughout Moscow. As noted by the head of the State Real Estate Inspectorate, Ivan Bobrov, in 2023, together with specialized structures and right holders, we worked on 890 properties that were in unsatisfactory condition.
An example of restored objects is a ruined building built in 1890 in the Basmanny district at the address: Balakirevsky street, building 1/28, building 1. In the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo area, northwest of Moscow, a building in ruins built in 1965 was restored at the address: Volokolamskoye Shosse, ow. 47, page 11.
In the northeast, in the Butyrsky district, the owner restored another building at the address: st. Skladochnaya, 1, building 32, which previously had an unpleasant appearance. In the future they plan to use it for commerce.
