Mary Poppins Returns star Emily Blunt revealed on the Table for Two podcast that she is taking a year off work to spend more time with her family. Along with actor John Krasinski, she has two daughters. NME writes about it.
When podcast host Bruce Bozzi asked Emily how she manages to balance her career and motherhood, Emily said: “To be honest, it doesn’t always work out. When people ask me how I manage to do everything, I answer that it only seems to them. That’s why I decided not to take on new projects for a year.” According to the actress, she feels that lately she has been working too much and needs to spend time with her daughters.
After the birth of children, Emily managed to star in a number of major projects: two parts of the film A Quiet Place, the TV series The Englishwoman and the romantic comedy The Wild Couple.
Recall that among the projects Emily Blunt starred in before announcing a sabbatical was Christopher Nolan’s biopic Oppenheimer. Critics have already called the film the director’s best work to date. We talk about it in more detail here.
