On April 27, actor, director, and producer Jossara “Joe” Ginaro passed away at the age of 49. This was announced by her husband on social media. The cause of death was cancer. Ginaro, who bravely battled the disease, died surrounded by family and friends.
Ginaro was born in Rio de Janeiro on May 25, 1973. Ginaro lived in Colombia and the United States for a time, before her adoptive father was taken hostage by rebels.
As a child, Jossara was moved around a lot in the United States. Eventually, she arrived in Chicago, signed her first contract at age 16, and then quickly made it onto the big screen. From there, she had some six dozen movies and TV shows to her credit, beginning with Strong Medicine in 1998, ER in 1999, Fair Amy in 2000, Maria in The Devil’s Rejects in 2003, Rob Zombie’s The Young and the Restless in 2006 and Lapochka 2: Mission Basil last year.
