Since April, Alena Shishkova has not been in contact with her multi-million audience (5.8 million!) on Instagram (an organization banned in the Russian Federation). And she only recently started sharing photos. The model also admitted that she spent several months in the Center for Eating Disorders. It turned out that Alena had been battling anorexia and bulimia for eight years. And in April, her condition became critical.
Before entering the clinic, Alena’s weight reached 45 kg.

According to the model, for many years she “returned” food, because she was afraid, but not because of excess weight, but… because of swelling on her face, arms and legs. Everything in the frame must be perfect. At some point, swelling became Alena’s phobia. It seemed to her that her face was swollen even from the apple she had eaten. In addition, the comments under the photo of the “wellness” model, which also added fuel to the fire … Shishkova was hooked on diuretics, without which her kidneys could no longer cope with time. At the same time, Alena always wanted to get better and took courses for weight gain in various clinics and sanatoriums, took tests, took medicines, and so on. for eight years. With varying success and relapses. And this spring Shishkova became very ill.
“In April, the situation became critical, I was already passing out, having seizures, and if I didn’t film stories, I basically lay down. I decided to contact the Center for the Study of Eating Disorders. I went in there weighing 45kg with a height of 176kg. I repeat, my situation is not typical, unlike other patients with anorexia and bulimia, I really wanted to improve, I did not accept myself the way I became, but I could not cope without the help of specialists in eating behavior ”, she shared with subscribers Alyona.

At the center, Shishkova spent two and a half months on parenteral nutrition (daily droppers) under the constant supervision of a doctor, nutritionist and psychologist. In addition to droppers, there was also ordinary food – Alena gradually got ready for intuitive nutrition. And the model managed to overcome dependence on diuretics.
“As a result of the treatment I gained 15 kg, the weight was very unevenly distributed, so I needed the help of a surgeon, he redistributed the fat from one side to the other, restored my proportional shapes. I am currently in rehab. I’m fine. I have understood a lot in the last few months, I really want to return to an active life,” Shishkova said.
The model said that she decided to share her interior, since her story can help other girls not to silence their problems and not think that this is the norm, but to take action and try to solve them.
