Since 2018, the boys have been creating fascinating performative events, but Backscatter is their first experience creating an installation. The exhibition focuses on an anomaly of light and sound trapped under the ceiling, as well as reflections on the nature of interaction left behind after a melancholic journey.

New Holland and the St. Petersburg Art Fair 1703 present the exhibition “Antiform No. 16” by Vasily Kononov-Gredin. The title refers to the author’s method of creating new objects by mechanical reassembly, with the help of which the artist explores the variability of forms and the logic of using objects. For the exhibition, the sixteenth object in the series was created – an installation of a sailing ship, the prototype of which could hypothetically have been built by Dutch shipbuilders in the vicinity of New Holland in the 18th century.

The exhibition of the Moscow Transport Museum will show how the precious 18 m² of personal space became a place of self-expression and territory of freedom for millions of people and how the history of domestic culture in Russia developed. The space is divided into a series of “garages” – thematic zones designed not so much to explore the phenomenon itself, but to form portraits of its owners. The exhibition will be open until September 29.

The State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin, together with the School of Masters, will present a project that explores the phenomenon of time in new media art and actualizes the ability to contemplate as one of the important functions in the perception of not only art, but also human life. The exhibition presents works by Alexandra Mitlyanskaya, Harry Hill, Taus Makhacheva, Marianne Heske and Alexandra Dementieva from the Pushkin Museum’s collection of new media art. The exhibition will last until August 6.
