Sizemore died in his sleep at St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank, according to his manager Charles Lago. He pointed out that with him were the actor’s brother and twin sons.
Sizemore collapsed at his Los Angeles home after suffering a brain aneurysm on February 18 and doctors were unable to revive him, according to NBC News.
The actor is best known for his role as Sergeant Mike Horvath in Saving Private Ryan, which was released in 1998 and won five Oscars. The film earned Steven Spielberg the Best Director award. Sizemore and his co-stars were nominated by the cast for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance.
He also starred in Oliver Stone’s “Natural Born Killers,” Quentin Tarantino’s “True Love,” “Black Hawk Down,” “Strange Days,” “Heat,” and other films.
