In addition, according to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, diesel prices fell by 0.8% in the Rostov region, by 1% in the Volgograd region, and gasoline by 2.6%. At the same time, the department clarified that the analysis is currently underway.
The service notes that farmers also purchase diesel at discounted wholesale prices during planting operations.
Regarding price control at gas stations, the FAS added that in the near future in one of the regions a decision is planned against a subsidiary of a large oil company for inflating prices in the retail segment.
Let us remind you that Rosstat has been recording an increase in retail prices for gasoline and diesel since mid-March. At first it was quite insignificant – 1-3 kopecks per liter per week, but already in April the pace of increase accelerated. In this sense, experts interviewed by RG suggested that prices at gas stations will continue to rise, but there will not be any major price increases. At most, they will reach average inflation.
