FAS will investigate the increase in tariffs of the MTS operator – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

“The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia received complaints from MTS subscribers about tariff increases. The operator’s notifications specify that from September 28 the monthly tariff will increase by 59 rubles in a number of tariffs,” the department informed RG .

They explained that the service will send a request to the telecommunications operator to establish all the circumstances of the increase. “If violations of antimonopoly legislation are detected, the FAS Russia will take response measures,” the FAS added.

According to media reports, some subscribers have already received messages with details about the price increase. The text of the messages is standard: it notifies an increase in payment, so that users pay a new cost, or choose a different rate, and the specific cost of the payment is indicated.

“On average, the price increase is about 30-40 rubles. For example, for NETARIF previously 650 rubles were paid, and from September 28 the amount increases by 45 rubles, for Smart Profitable 250 rubles were paid and the increase cost was 42 rubles, for Smart in its 062016 model, 220 rubles became 250 rubles,” notes the sterlegrad.ru portal.

At the same time, only general information about the increase in the cost of some archived tariffs appeared on the operator’s website.

“Starting September 28, 2023, certain price parameters of some plans and archived tariff options will change.
