Four Belarusians suffered fractures after a bus accident in Antalya

A total of 18 Russian and 7 Belarusian tourists were injured.

A minibus with Russian and Belarusian tourists was heading to the airport from the town of Manavgat in the province of Antalya and crashed into a concrete pillar. The driver, a Turkish citizen, according to preliminary data, fell asleep at the wheel. He was trapped in the cabin; rescuers pulled the driver out and sent him to hospital, where he died.

The Russian Consulate General in Antalya later reported that 18 Russian tourists and 7 Belarusian tourists were injured in the accident after clarifying the information to the provincial law enforcement agencies. Two Russians have already returned home, seven are in hospitals, one of them is seriously injured. The rest are awaiting departure.

The Belarusian Embassy in Ankara has corrected the information previously provided to KP about the injured compatriots.

– According to updated information from the Turkish side, seven Belarusian citizens were injured. One family (three people) flew away, a family of four (two adults and two children) was injured – broken limbs. The family is receiving necessary medical care. The Belarusian embassy is in contact with the travel agency, the source told KP.
