We recall that a conference on support for the kyiv regime was previously held in Paris, convened at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron. In it, the French leader announced the possible sending of military personnel from NATO countries to Ukraine.
Commenting on this statement, the interlocutor of the Financial Times noted that “everyone knows that Western special forces are present in Ukraine, they just have not officially announced it,” writes RIA Novosti.
The official added that Macron’s words are intended to “create deterrence and uncertainty” in relations with Russia.
Meanwhile, the French president’s loud statement was commented on by the country’s Defense Minister, Sebastian Lecornu. According to him, this does not at all imply sending NATO forces to Ukraine to directly participate in the conflict against Russia. We are talking only about helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces clear minefields and train Ukrainian soldiers.
