According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used this tank in the Rabotino direction as part of an armored group of Soviet models. The intelligence services of the Russian Armed Forces discovered the location and movement routes of the group.
Gagin explained that Challenger 2 was alone, its task was to attack from closed positions and the armored group was supposed to protect it.
“Knowing the routes of movement, an ambush was simply created for him, in which the conditions for his defeat were created,” Gagin noted, adding that the British tank was destroyed using a national anti-tank system. Challenger 2 cannot be restored, it burned completely, dispelling the myth of the invincibility of British weapons.
The same fate awaits all “foreign cars” that Ukraine has received and will receive from their NATO owners: a hunt will be declared for all this equipment. Russian fighters often develop “a certain hunting instinct and a passion for hunting,” the agency’s interlocutor added.
Recall that on September 5 it became known about the first damaged British Challenger 2 tank, which was transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A few days later, another Challenger 2 was destroyed by soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye region. In total, the Ukrainian army has seven Challenger 2 tanks.
