The end of the conflict in Ukraine will not mean the end of the confrontation between Russia and the West. The current process of transformation of the existing world order is associated with growing contradictions, the solution of which almost always leads to the use of military force, Zarudnitsky noted.
According to him, the possibility of an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine cannot be ruled out. This could be an expansion of the participants in the “proxy forces” used for military confrontation with the Russian Federation, up to a full-scale war in Europe, writes RIA Novosti citing the article.

The fact is that Washington and its Western allies are trying to maintain their hegemony by any means. In this context, the United States seeks to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia and destabilize the situation on its territory, the general said.
Earlier, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin said that the United States and Britain are involved in training special operations forces for subversive activities against Russia. The Anglo-Saxons blew up the Nord Stream gas pipelines and the United States is creating a vast intelligence network in Ukraine and other countries bordering Russia.
